Domestic workers have been left out of virtually every major federal labor protection law. That fact, coupled with isolated, informal working conditions make this workforce very vulnerable to labor trafficking. It is time to give the nannies, house cleaners and home health aides who help busy families manage their lives the respect, the payment and the protection they deserve. The National Domestic Workers Bill of Rights would go a long way toward protecting these workers from trafficking and exploitation.
We need your help to pass this bill.
The National Domestic Workers Bill of Rights would ensure that domestic workers have paid sick leave, are covered under civil rights protections, are provided with a written agreement on their roles and responsibilities - and much more. Contact your U.S. Senators and Representative and demand equal rights for ALL workers.
Help protect potential labor trafficking victims from exploitation and abuse.
